Our ministry strives to make each of us aware of what we can do as Orthodox Christians - and obedient servants to God - to respect, protect, and restore God's creation.

  1. PAST EARTH-FRIENDLY ACTIVITIES
    1. Trip to the State Farmers' Market for local produce
    2. Picnic and compost presentation by the staff at  Blue Jay Point Park
    3. Picnic with other Orthodox church parishioners in the area at Umstead State Park
    4. Three raised garden beds built and planted near  olive tree at church (built by Manny Aretakis)
    5. "Zero Waste" short film in Multipurpose Room
    6. Recycling bins placed in Parish Hall and Sunday School area
    7. "The Green Patriarch" film and dinner in Multipurpose Room
    8. Artoclasia in honor of the Patriarchate's declaration of September 1 as the Orthodox Day of Prayer for Creation
    9. Interfaith Creation Care of the Triangle (ICCT) meeting in our church library
    10. Blessing of the Water at Eno River Park/ potluck with Holy Trinity Russian Orthodox Church, Mebane
