Philoptochos
The Ladies Philoptochos Society is the women’s philanthropic society of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America. Its mission is:
- To aid the poor, the elderly, the sick, the orphaned, the widowed, the imprisoned, the handicapped, the victims of disaster and others in need;
- To promote the charitable, benevolent and philanthropic purposes of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America;
- To preserve and perpetuate the Greek Orthodox Faith and traditions and the Orthodox Christian Family;
- To promote participation in the activities of the Greek Orthodox community, with the cooperation of the Parish Priest and Parish Council.
The charitable work of the Society is to be performed with discretion, courtesy and kindness.
